Death an integral part of life
Is always walking sleeping and breathing with us
An intimate friend our alter ego but often we don’t realise
Perhaps we ignore to recognise and appreciate
But nevertheless she appeals and prompts us to be her best friend
We neglect and refuse out of our unyielding pride and subtle ego
Thinking that we have eternity
But hitherto she never has taken us with her
And we foolishly think that she has taken her leave
Instead of being thankful to her gracious gift
So always we procrastinate to make maximum out of this moment
The only time available and allotted to us
When we fully enjoy this moment to the lees
Death won’t be frightening and gruesome
Otherwise it will raise hell out of nothing
Never allowing us to lead a beautiful life
Forbidding all joys and pleasantries of this world
Making life difficult bitter and unbearable
Not only to us but also to others around us
We realise with a sudden quiver
When we hear the murmurs of death very close to us
We should have kept all relations in our grip
Never let it go away even for a while
For our ego pseudo pride vested interests and selfishness
Often thwart our very essential
thirst to love and be loved
Does this sort of a life meaningful?
Not at all we must give it a new dimension
Go out to the world and enjoy the delights it has in store
Never hesitate a second to devour ravenously
The permanent little things of the world
Forgetting the evanescent bubbly life
An apprehensive demon who prevents us from
Running after the harmless delicacies of the world
And little things that make our life easier and joyous
So enrich the unsolicited life to the fullest
Never harming others in words or deeds.
When luck is on our side just ride it.
George
